I started drawing this comic sometime in the past century (in fact, in 1991). At that time, computers were still using punching cards (or so it seems), so I used crayons to colour the drawings. Then I started doing more serious stuff, mostly research, and lacked the time to continue working on the comic. Recently, I more or less accidentally rediscovered these old things. Nowadays one can do amazing things on computers. I used The Gimp, a free image manipulation program distributed under the GNU public license (and thus available, e.g., under Linux) to colour the old drawings. I find the result quite satisfactory. I just started working on the sequel in my spare time. I recently finished page 6 (here's a little making of, if you're interested), and page 7 is in progress. (click on the thumbnails to enlarge) |
