(http:\/\/smf.emath.fr\/PetitionSaleh\/<\/a>) Il y a 7 ans, le 3 fevrier, Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh a ete
enleve a son domicile a N’Djamena par des forces armees. Il est\u00a0 presque certainement mort dans les
jours suivants. Nous ne pouvons oublier, nous voulons connaitre les circonstances de sa mort, et que
justice soit faite.
2) Prix Ibni: Les trois societes de mathematiques francaises, SFdS, SMAI et SMF\u00a0 ont cree en 2009 un
prix Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh, a sa memoire. Il est attribue tous les ans a un jeune mathematicien
ou une jeune mathematicienne d\u2019Afrique Centrale ou d\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest et finance un sejour
scientifique de quelques mois. Les laureats 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 et 2013 etaient Oumarou Abdou
Arbi, nigerien, Amadou Tall, senegalais, Solym Mawaki Sanou Abi, togolais, El Hadji Deme, senegalais
et Koffi Wilfrid Houedanou, togolais.

candidatures soumises a \u00e9t\u00e9 de onze. Apr\u00e8s \u00e9valuation des dossiers, le Comit\u00e9 du Prix Ibni a d\u00e9cid\u00e9
\u00e0 l’unanimit\u00e9 de proposer que le Prix soit attribu\u00e9 a Monsieur David Jaures Fotsa Mbogne. David
Jaures Fotsa Mbogne est un doctorant camerounais, assistant a l\u2019Universite de Ngaoundere, qui
effectue sa these sur le contr\u00f4le optimal des modeles d\u2019\u00e9quations de d\u00e9rivees partielles en vue
d’applications en epidemiologie et ecologie, sous la direction de David Bekolle, codirigee par Elvis
Houpa et Michel Ndoumbe. Il a d\u00e9ja\u00a0 plusieurs publications dans cette thematique. Grace au prix IBNI
il effectuera un s\u00e9jour de recherche a l\u2019Institut de Mathematiques de Marseille, sous la direction
d’Etienne Pardoux, pour developper les aspects stochastiques de ses recherches.

1) Petition:\u00a0 You are one of the 3527 signatories of the\u00a0 petition for “Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh “
(http:\/\/smf.emath.fr\/PetitionSaleh\/<\/a>) Seven year ago, on February 3, Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh was
abducted from his home in N’Djamena by armed forces. He died almost certainly soon after. We cannot
forget this, we want to know the circumstances of his death, we want justice to be done.
2) Ibni Prize: The three French Mathematical Societies, SFdS, SMAI and SMF have created in 2009 the
Prize Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh in his memory. It is awarded annually to a young mathematician of
Central or West Africa. It funds a scientific visit. The recipients in 2009, 2010,\u00a0 2011, 2012 and
2013\u00a0 were respectively Oumarou Abdou Arbi, from Niger, Amadou Tall, from Senegal, Solyme Abi Mawaki
Sanou, from Togo, El Hadji Deme, from Senegal and Khoffi Wilfrid Houedanou, from Togo.<\/p>\n
of their applications, the Ibni Prize Committee decided unanimously to propose to give the Prize to
David Jaur\u00e8s Fotsa Mbogne. David Jaur\u00e8s Fotsa Mbogne, a native from Cameroon, is a teaching
assistant at the University of Ngaoundere who is writing a PhD thesis on the optimal control of
models of partial differential equations applied to epidemiology and ecology, under the direction of
David Bekolle, codirected by Elvis Houpa and Michel Ndoumbe. He already has several publications in
this area. The prize will allow him to visit Etienne Pardoux at the Mathematical Institute of
Marseilles to develop the stochastic aspects of his models.
