ete enleve \u00e0 son domicile \u00e0 N’Djamena par des forces armees. Il est\u00a0 presque certainement mort dans
les jours suivants. Nous ne pouvons oublier, nous voulons connaitre les circonstances de sa mort, et
que justice soit faite.
2) Prix Ibni Les trois societes de mathematiques fran\u00e7aises, SFdS, SMAI et SMF\u00a0 ont cree en 2009 un
prix Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh, a sa memoire. Il est attribue tous les ans a un jeune mathematicien
ou une jeune mathematicienne d\u2019Afrique Centrale ou d\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest et finance un sejour
scientifique de quelques mois.\u00a0 Le laureat 2011, annonce le 9 janvier dernier, est Solym Mawaki
Sanou Abi, togolais ; il effectuera un sejour \u00e0 Toulouse dans le cadre de son doctorat en
probabilites prepare en cotutelle entre Dakar et Toulouse\u00a0 (voir
http:\/\/smf4.emath.fr\/PrixIbni\/proclamation-2011.html<\/a>). Les laureats 2009 et 2010 \u00e9taient Oumarou
Abdou Arbi, nigerien, et Amadou Tall, senegalais.
Le prix est finance par des dons, son financement est \u00e0 l’heure actuelle assure en 2012. Merci a

3) Une conference-debat suivie d\u2019une exposition et d\u2019un film en hommage au Pr. Ibni Oumar Mahamat

lettre au president fran\u00e7ais afin qu’il fasse declassifie les documents en possession de la France
sur les evenements entourant l’arrestation d’Ibni.

http:\/\/smf.emath.fr\/PetitionSaleh\/<\/a>\u00a0 There will be four years on February 3 that Ibni Oumar Mahamat
Saleh was abducted from his home in N’Djamena by armed forces. He died almost certainly soon after.
We cannot forget this, we want to know the circumstances of his death, we want that justice be
dispensed.
2)\u00a0 Ibni Prize The three French Mathematical Societies, SFdS, SMAI and SMF have created in 2009 the
prize Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh in his memory. It is awarded annually to a young mathematician of
Central or West Africa. It funds a Scientific visit.\u00a0 The winner in 2011, announced on January 9,
2012, is Solyme Abi Mawaki Sanou, from Togo. The prize will allow him to stay a few months in
Toulouse\u00a0 for the preparation of his Ph.D. in Probbility Theory, which is co-supervised between
Dakar and Toulouse.\u00a0 (See http:\/\/smf4.emath.fr\/PrixIbni\/proclamation-2011.html<\/a>). The winners 2009
and 2010 were Oumarou Abdou Arbi, from Niger, and Amadou Tall, from Senegal.
The award is funded by donations. Funding is currently ensured in 2012. We thank all those who

3) A panel discussion followed by an exhibition and a film will take place February 3, 2012 at the
University of Orleans. It is organised by the committee in support of Prof. Ibni Oumar
