\u00a0Bonsoir

1) Une reunion a eu lieu a Orleans le jeudi 10 avril pour demander la verite sur le sort d’Ibni
Oumar Mahamat Saleh. Cette reunion s’est tenue dans un local de la mairie d’Olivet en presence des
adjoints au maire d’Olivet Phillipe Belouet et Jean-Luc Molvot\u00a0 et du senateur\u00a0 du Loiret
Jean-Pierre Sueur, ainsi que des deux fils d’ibni Oumar, Hicham et Mohamed Saleh. Elle a ete ouverte
par Edouard Boukie, ami tres proche d’Ibni Oumar. Elle a reuni plus de 30 personnes, parmi lesquels
des enseignants de l’universit\u00e9 d’Orleans, d’anciens condisciples d’Ibni Oumar lorsqu’il y faisait
ses etudes, des sympathisants. Alexandre Minet, de la fondation Jean Jaur\u00e8s, etait venu de Paris.

Le communique pour la presse locale sera publi\u00e9 prochainement sur le site de la petition, parmi les
documents.

2) Notre petition avait recueilli ce soir 2360 signatures. Pour les nouveaux signataires: un resume
des actions et reactions precedentes peut etre consulte sur

3) Nous n’avons eu aucune reaction et encore moins de reponse venues des autorites francaises ou
tchadiennes auxquelles nous avons remis la petition le 14 mars et que nous avons recontactees par
courriel le 21 mars.

4) La communaute mathematique internationale continue a se mobiliser et les signatures a arriver du
monde entier. La RSME espagnole a mis l’information en premiere page sur son site web.

1) A meeting took place in Orleans Thursday, April 10 ,to seek the truth about the fate of Ibni
Oumar Mahamat Saleh. The meeting was held in a room of the town hall of Olivet in the presence of
two deputy mayors of Olivet,\u00a0 Phillipe\u00a0 Belouet and Jean-Luc Molvot, the Loiret Senator Jean-Pierre
Sueur, and the two sons of Ibni Oumar, Hisham and Mohamed Saleh. It was opened by Edouard Bouki\u00e9, a
close friend of Ibni Oumar. It brought together over 30 people, including faculty members from the
University of Orleans, former companions of Ibni Oumar when he studied in Orleans, sympathizers.
Alexandre Minet, the foundation Jean Jaur\u00e8s, had come from Paris.

A press release has been sent to local media. It will be soon available on the website of the
petition, among the documents.

2) We had 2360 signatures at 17H french time today. For new signatories: messages on former
initiatives are available at\u00a0 http:\/\/smf.emath.fr\/en\/PetitionSaleh\/messages.cgi<\/a>

\u00a03) No reaction and no answer from the French or Chadian authorities even if the petition has been
handed over on March 15 and an e-mail has been sent on March 21.<\/p>\n

4) The international mathematical community continues to mobilize. The Spanish mathematical society
RSME gives information on the petition on the first page of its website.
