Résumé :
Neutron stars are the remnant from the gravitational collapse of massive stars after the supernova explosion that marks the end of their life. They are relativistic objects sustained by the nuclear interaction. The upper part of neutron stars, the crust, is believed to be solid. The current consensus is that their inner part, the core, is liquid too, although some nuclear models suggest that it may also be solid. The elastic deformations encountered by the solid part(s) of neutron stars are expected to have an influence on their rotational properties. I will present previous studies on this subject in the framework of Newtonian dynamics and detail an ongoing work based on a general relativistic theory of elasticity.
