Fourier restriction conjecture is one of the most well-known open problems in harmonic analysis. It is closely related to many other problems. In this talk, I will focus on its role in PDEs. The content of the talk is I. Introduction on the Fourier restriction conjecture II. Weak Fourier restriction estimate III. Connection to the Strichartz estimates and generalizations IV. Application to Zakharov system.
