Equivariant Reduction of Gauge Theories over Fuzzy Extra Dimensions
Seckin Kurkcuoglu (Ankara, Turkey)
Tuesday 24 January 2012 11:00 -  Tours -  Salle 1180 (Bât E2)

Résumé :
In certain SU(N) gauge theories suitably coupled to a set of scalars, respectively the fuzzy sphere and the product space are generated as extra dimensions by spontaneous symmetry breaking. In this talk, the SU(2) and the SU(2) X SU(2)-equivariant parametrizations of gauge fields in these theories are exhibited and their dimensional reduction over and are presented. The emerging dimensionally reduced theories are Higgs type models; it is shown that, on and these models admit vortex solutions and some properties of these solutions are discussed. The talk is going to be based on the articles Nuc. Phys. B. 821:380-398,2009, Phys.Rev. D82 105010 (2010) and the recent preprint hep-th arXiv:1201.0728.
