Résumé :
Planar maps, and more specifically planar quadrangulations have been an object of study to combinatorialists since the the pioneering work of Tutte in the 60s. More recently there has been an increasing interest in seeing them as a discrete model of random two dimensional geometry, in particular via their connection with Liouville quantum gravity. In this talk I will discuss recent work with Mireille Bousquet-Mélou on enumeration of planar quadrangulations decorated by a height function associated to the six-vertex model. Our work coincides with several recent advances in understanding the analogous model on the square lattice. While the techniques we use to study this model on general (random) quadrangulations are entirely different to those used on the square lattice, we observe some remarkably similar phenomena.
