On Quantum Tests of the AdS/CFT Correspondence

Résumé :
The AdS/CFT Correspondence postulates that a theory of quantum gravity in Anti-de Sitter (AdS) space is completely equivalent to a quantum conformal field theory (CFT) defined on the boundary of the AdS space. Its most tractable limit is of course where the AdS theory is classical. We discuss tests of this correspondence which focus on incorporating the leading quantum effects in the gravity theory, and apply it to various theories, including the AdS dual of free Yang Mills theory. The talk will review previous work in the literature and then motivate the tools we developed with Euihun Joung and Jinbeom Bae which are immediately applicable to a far wider class of dualities, and discuss such applications, most notably to free Yang Mills.
