Résumé :
We review the connection between 't Hooft anomalies and low energy non-dissipative transport for general Quantum Field Theories. We discuss whether such phenomena also affect (if present) the higher spin conserved currents of the theory, giving various examples in which such transport coefficients are calculable. These include the $W_{\infty}$ and $W_{1+\infty}$ algebras and their free field realizations as well as four-dimensional theories, such as Maxwell's theory. We find that, in general, since most higher spin algebras have only one independent parameter, the transport properties are inherited from the lower spin anomalies (either diffeomorphism or chiral). Time permitting, possible generalizations to higher spin backgrounds are also discussed for covariant currents.
