Résumé :
We review recent results on gravitational (in)stability of higher dimensional black holes in the context of string theory and brane world scenarios. This includes (in)stability of asymptotically flat, de Sitter and anti-de Sitter black holes. In particular, a new instability has been found for higher dimensional Reissner-Nordstrom-de-Sitter black holes. Evolution of instabilities in time domain is analyzed. Possible correlation of gravitational and thermodynamic instabilities will be discussed. [References: R. A. K., A. Zhidenko, Phys. Rev. Lett. 103:161101 (2009); Phys. Rev. D 77:104004 (2008); Phys.
