Composite Non-abelian BPS vortices and Flag Manifolds

Résumé :
Vortices in non-Abelian theories have long been known to possess extra moduli coming from the non-Abelian symmetry groups at hand: in the simplest instance, we find that these degrees of freedom live in a projective space, CP(N) and construct a worldsheet action for them. We propose a completely generic treatment of the breakdown of non-Abelian symmetries that lead to the full generalisation of the problem leading to non-linear sigma models based on Flag manifolds, which includes CP(N) and Grassmannian spaces.
