Take tram A towards Hôpital La Source and get out at Parc Floral. This tram line stops at Les Aubrais train station and at Gare d’Orléans, the city center train station. The journey lasts about 40 minutes from Les Aubrais and 35 minutes from Gare d’Orléans. More information on trams and buses in Orléans here.
Arriving by train
For schedules and tickets, go to the SNCF website. Orléans is located 120km South of Paris. Trains from Paris Gare d’Austerlitz are frequent, the journey lasts about one hour. Orléans has two train stations, Les Aubrais and Gare d’Orléans; the A tram to IDP stops at both stations, but it is easier to get out at Les Aubrais. For the tram, look at the website here.
Arriving by car
The main roads are highway 2020, or motorways A71 and A10. Follow roadsigns Olivet, Orléans La Source and Parc Floral to the university campus, and from there follow the road signs Sciences, IDP is next to the green Sciences building, Route de Chartres. Arriving by plane
The nearest airports are Paris-Charles de Gaulles (also called Roissy), the largest, 165 km from Orléans, and Paris-Orly 120km form Orléans. More information here. To travel from these airports to Orléans, there are shuttles (see below, book in advance), or the train from Paris Gare d’Austerlitz; Paris-Gare d’Austerlitz can be reached by public transport. A taxi ride to Paris Gare d’Austerlitz costs at least 50 Euros.

Public transports
From Charles-De Gaulle (Roissy): Take the bus to Gare RER, then RER B (towards Paris), change at Saint-Michel Notre Dame (all trains stop there), take RER C (towards Orly), and stop at Gare d’Austerlitz. There is also the bus Air France 4 which stops at Gare de Lyon, a 5 minutes walk from Gare d’Austerlitz (be careful, this bus continues to Gare Montparnasse). From Orly: Take the shuttle to Pont de Rungis – Aéroport d’Orly, and there take RER C, trains towards Paris stop at Gare d’Austerlitz. From Gare d’Austerlitz, see above “Arriving by train”.
Note: If you stop in Paris before going to Orléans, from Orly, the bus Air France 1 stops at Denfert Rochereau, Gare Montparnasse and les Invalides, and Orlybus stops at Paris-Denfert Rochereau. From Roissy, Roissybus stops at Paris-Opera.
Booking a hotel
To book a hotel, contact the administration office. Do not book your hotel by yourself if you want to be fully reimbursed by the institute.
From Tours train station, take rue de Bordeaux (pedestrian street) to reach place Jean Jaurès. From there, take bus number 2 towards “CHU Trousseau”. Other bus lines go to the Science campus (3A, 3B, 14) but are less efficient.
From Saint-Pierre-des-Corps train station, take bus number 16 towards “Joué les Tours, Blotterie”.
In both cases, get out at “Faculté de Grandmont”, located on avenue Monge. For bus schedules and more information, go to Fil Bleu website.
Arriving by car
IDP Tours offices are located in the Parc de Grandmont, South of Tours. If you arrive by car, you are advised to take the exit Tours Sud.
